Sept 6th, 2023, 111 Street Co-Naming Ceremony!
Namaste, Greetings to Everyone:
The Mandir is happy to announce that on September 9th, 2023, the City of New York will be performing a historical street co-naming ceremony at the Mandir's 111 Street Location.
The ceremony will officially announce that the 111 Street location will be additionally, and forever known, in recognition of the Mandir's outstanding contributions as, Shree Tulsi Mandir Way.
We would like to thank the City of New York and the wonderful community of supporters for making this a historical moment for the Mandir's mission efforts in society.
It is truly an honorable and lifetime recognition for the Mandir's contributions to the general public.

June 27th, 2022 - -ShreeMandir Anniversary! (111 Location)
Namaste, Greetings to Everyone:
On June 27th, 2022, the Mandir celebrated its 8th year at the 111th Street location in Queens, N.Y. A special "Thank You" to the community and every one of our wonderful supporters, including a "special thank you to all of the participating Pandits of the Shri Tulsi Mandir."
As many of you know, the Mandir's lifetime actually spans 17 years with a Foundation Anniversary date on August 15th. At that time, the Mandir will celebrate its 18th anniversary for 2022! Our organization will continue to serve the community as best as possible, along with our supporters' good faith.
In addition, I would like to take a moment to update everyone on the Covid-19 situation with relation to the Mandir. The Mandir continues to operate following the New York State Covid-19 guidelines and the CDC (Centers for Disease Control) recommendations for religious organizations.
All attending members must continue to wear masks as necessary safety precautions.
- The Mandir is cleaned and remains sanitized.
- Everyone MUST wear a Mask inside the Mandir when attending/sitting for the entire service session.
- Please also know that because of the constant changing covid-19 situation, the Mandir continues to reserve the right to distribute food on a takeaway basis depending on the current Covid-19 circumstances, and as necessary safety precautions.

A friendly reminder that the Mandir continues to operate following the New York State Covid19 guidelines and the CDC (Centers for Disease Control) recommendations for religious organizations. All attending members must continue to wear masks as necessary safety precautions. The new variants of the Covid-19 virus still pose health concerns and the mandir continues to operate with safety precautions to the public.
Again: The Mandir is cleaned after prayer sessions and remains sanitized for all events.
- Everyone MUST wear a Mask inside the Mandir when attending/sitting for the entire service session.
- FOOD IS BEING SERVED AS TAKE AWAY ONLY.

We are now in the Fall season, with winter right behind us, and I would like to take a moment to update everyone on the Covid-19 situation with relation to the Mandir. The Mandir reopened on June 26th, 2020 and unfortunately, as of today November 23rd, the State and CDC breaking news has shown that the Covid Virus is on the rise again in New York. The virus also continues to be on the rise across the country and continues to be a pandemic across the world.
Please know that the Mandir continues to follow the New York State Covid-19 guidelines (and in accordance with the CDC health recommendations) and limiting persons to the "NY State minimum person guidelines" permitted within an enclosed religious facility.
In addition, below are a few friendly reminders while attending the Mandir during the Covid time period:
- The Mandir is cleaned and remains sanitized.
- Everyone MUST wear a Mask inside the Mandir when attending/sitting for the entire service session.
- Families are encouraged to sit together and social distance in groups (sitting and eating).
- We hope to rotate families (in and out of the mandir) and in accordance with the NY State minimum persons' guidelines permitted within an enclosed facility.

A few friendly reminders while attending the Mandir during the Covid time period:
- The Mandir is cleaned and remains sanitized.
- Everyone MUST wear a Mask inside the Mandir when attending/sitting for the entire service session.
- Families are encouraged to sit together and social distance in groups (sitting and eating).
- We hope to rotate families (in and out of the mandir) and in accordance with the NY State minimum persons' guidelines permitted within an enclosed facility.
- Everyone will have a chance to enter the Mandir and perform their offerings. (We kindly request patience from everyone at this time, and in order to take turns.)
- FOOD IS BEING SERVED AS TAKE AWAY ONLY.
Please know, the Mandir will continue to follow the CDC/Science and NY State guidance with relation to the Mandir's opening and closing status. As the situation with Covid-19 progresses, the Mandir will take the necessary steps to ensure public safety. As of June 26th, 2020, the Mandir reopened, and is currently opened for worship to all. We hope that everyone follows the above friendly reminder guidelines when attending the Mandir.
Unfortunately, Covid-19 has not been completely eradicated, so please wear a mask while in the Mandir and during prayer service sessions.

June 25th, 2020 COVID-19 Mandir Update:
Namaste, Greetings to Everyone:
The Mandir will be holding its first set of prayer sessions on Friday, June 26th, 2020. We are following the New York State Covid-19 guidelines, and in accordance with the CDC recommendations limiting to 50 persons at a time, and a mask should be worn during service.
The Mandir is clean and remains sanitized. Everyone MUST wear a Mask inside the Mandir when attending/sitting for the entire service session. We hope to rotate families according to the minimum persons' guidelines permitted within an enclosed facility. Everyone will have a chance to enter the Mandir and perform their offerings at the Altar. We need to take turns, and patience will be greatly appreciated.
Our community, New York and the world is still fighting the Covid-19 battle. However, as of June 25th, 2020 New York was determined to be at its "best" health status, since the state's shutdown. We highly recommend, and urge our members and the community, to still practice safety precautions when out in public. Everyone should continue to wear masks outside, in public spaces and shared/public indoor facilities. Everyone should still continue to sanitize hands when outdoors and after running errands, especially when hand washing was not possible at the time.
The Mandir is taking the same sanitary precautions and we hope that everyone does the same at the Mandir. Unfortunately, Covid-19 has not been completely eradicated, so please wear a mask while in the Mandir and during prayer service sessions.
We are all one in the end. What happens to one, happens to all, and love (and love for each other) always wins in the end.

Namaste, Greetings to Everyone:
As everyone is aware, the world is fighting against Covid-19 virus. The Mandir is no exception, and is abiding by the new rules and regulations, and in accordance with the "social distancing" mandate.
As conditions evolve, we are taking precautionary actions to mitigate everyone's exposure and reduce the impact of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) on our members, volunteers and community. We are doing our part to protect the community where we live and serve.
We are also closely monitoring the situation with local, state and federal health agencies, as well as monitoring and reinforcing guidance from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
Below, is a friendly reminder on the handling of Covid-19 and keeping safe:
- Practice "social distancing."
- Frequent handwashing and use of sanitizer.
- Avoiding touching mouth, nose and eyes.
- Keeping a safe distance from anyone self-quarantined or sick.
- Staying home if you are sick.
- Seek medical attention if breathing becomes difficult.
- Traveling & international travel could expose you to the virus.
Please do practice patience during this challenging time and visit the "Centers for Disease Control" at CDC.GOV for the latest information on the Covid-19 virus. Please stay informed, as knowing is half the battle.
